Open Volunteer Shifts From: DuPagePads

The Coffee Station is a new initiative designed to provide a warm and welcoming start to the day for clients at the Interim Housing Center (IHC). We are seeking volunteers to help operate this service every morning.Volunteer shifts: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM  Monday through Friday  (Coffee service hours: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM)

Volunteer Role:

Brew coffee and heat water for a self-serve station in the IHC's kitchen.Ensure the station is stocked and ready for clients.Maintain a clean and inviting setup.All volunteers will receive training at their first shift.Individuals can serve alone, but volunteering with a friend is always welcome!If unable to attend a scheduled shift, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice.

Fulfill client needs lists by bagging up non-perishable food, baby care and personal care items Help keep donated items located in the Resource Rooms organized and tidy Resource Room hours:  Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00 am - 11:00 am We are looking for once a week recurring volunteers to help with this opportunity.

DO YOU LIKE THE SMELL OF CLEAN SHEETS AND TOWELS? So do our guests at the Interim Housing Center! Please bring comfort and smiles to DuPagePads' families and individuals by helping to launder towels, blankets, and sheets for their rooms. Training is provided; no experience needed. This is truly a critical service. Thank you!

In this REMOTE OPPORTUNITY, volunteers can make 40-50 Snack Packs at home, office, congregation, or school and deliver them to the DuPagePads Interim Housing Center by appointment. To schedule your delivery time, please contact Courtney Bronec, Volunteer Manager at cbronec@dupagepads.org. Click here for a sample shopping list! Are you interested in organizing donations and being a friendly face for visitors at the Client Access Center?The Client Access Center is the first interaction that many guests have with DuPagePads! We are looking for volunteers that are energetic, welcoming, empathetic, have good organizational skills, good communication skills, and are interpersonal. Volunteers will assist with:Processing incoming donations Sorting and organizing suppliesAssisting staff with greeting and helping guests as neededCompleting other tasks assigned by staff
Shifts are available Monday-Friday Morning shift: 8:30am-12:30pm Afternoon shift: 12:30pm-4:30pmVolunteers must be 18 years or older.

Help is needed assisting clients with their search for a good job! Resume writing, interviewing skills, and other important employment and job search skills This volunteer opportunity needs to be scheduled through the Director of Employment & Education Solutions, Lutisha Jefferson at ljefferson@dupagepads.org Thank you for volunteering for this life-changing role!
